Waco Judo is a young club, and we’re just starting to dip our toes into the world of competition. Let’s recognize some of our recent competitors!
May 16, 2026 – The Nagase Cup in Plano
Our best tournament yet! Jackson made his debut in the kids division and took home a bronze medal. Sensei Jonah competed in the veterans (age 30 plus) heavyweight division and took a silver.
February 21, 2026 – Lone Star Classic in Fort Worth

Our second outing as a team. Curtis and Trevlyn both competed, and both had some wins and some losses. Lone Star is a big tournament, and a lot of fun!
January 31, 2026 – Chandler Challenge in Fort Worth

This tournament marked the debut of Waco Judo, with Curtis entering the veteran’s division (over age 30). No medals that day, but it was a great ice breaker, and a good reminder to not rely on smoothcomp to give you accurate match start times.
As always, we invite you to come and try a free judo class with us, either for yourself or your son or daughter. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram to keep up with the latest news.
